Musings, soap making and a recipie.

So I haven't posted in a  few. So I guess for those few who read this we should catch up.

My day started out by reading this touching story with a great message:

https://www.facebook.com/TheZeitgeistMovement/posts/130350980471593

to paraphrase the message is this:
GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL.

We make a Living by what we get, we make a Life by what we give.

I think that is simply a beautiful story. (Weather it true or fake) I think that the idea behind it is inspirational.

I would like to stay youthful as I grow old, as all women do. I believe its a state of mind and that it can come in good graces if you are always challenging yourself, trying new things or being adventurous.

A depressed and sad person carries around such a weight with them that always in my experience tends to affect others. Positive attitude and a happy demeanor can help to inspire others to do the same. Or it has the adverse affect and makes people who are these negative beings just even more negative..... but that's a whole different topic, and I would rather stay positive.

If you are one of those negative readers, I would just say invest in the book don't sweat the small stuff or any other self help book.

Well enough about my thoughts lets go to sharing...

Today I did in fact make soap!

Simple ingredients from just about any craft store make a very fun creative personal gift.

Pure glycerin, Any essential oils (can be found at any health food store) I used honey almond, Additives; I used Vitamin E oil, orange peel, lavender petals, and coffee, but you can use things like oatmeal, aloe, cocoa butter, and Shea butter ...honestly get creative its fun! (but be safe)
Skin safe pigment or dye, I mixed red and blue dye to get purple. red to make the pink, and yellow.

Melt glycerin in a microwave container no more then 30 seconds.
Pour into molds. you can use store bought or those flexible cupcake molds. also you should be creative but make sure you can easily remove the soap after it hardens. It takes about an hour to harden, speed it up in the fridge.

Pop them out and remove any excess from the sides.
And viola, you have a gift. I bought a decorative box for .99 and some small cellophane bags from the baking isle meant for small treats and wrapped the soaps individually. This will be a birthday gift for my step grandmother. I am going to try my had at lotion making too eventually.

Now on to other stuff...

For those crazy dieters and those looking to loose a few pounds... here is one of my healthy recipe's.
You will need:
1lb Ground chicken
1 can of whole kernel corn
1 can of black beans
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 onion
1 red pepper
1 green pepper
chili powder, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to taste

Brown meat and season to taste in a wok or fry pan, remove meat (drain fat if any) in the same fry pan brown off onion and peppers till tender. add meat back to pan w/beans, diced tomatoes and corn.

Let simmer for 15 minutes on low heat.

top with some low fat or 2% cheese and you will have this little number right here:

 Well that's all for now.
Until next time,
XOXO
Michelle

Dear Mom

Dear MOM,

You are the one that wiped my tears
you are the one that saved me from my fears
You made me strong when I was weak
Its in your confidence where my secrets you keep
You have been my strength
For you I would go any length
You are the first person I think to impress
Because i know you wouldn't settle for anything less
You guided me through hard life trials
And walked with me even in the longest miles
Wherever I am there you are
You are my true north star
When things become too rough to bare
I know that I can count on you to be there
I find solace In your warm words, and loving advice
I know i am never alone, and for your love i never have to think twice.

Love me!

No one can choose their parents... It is just what you are born into that determines who you are and how you cope. In letting go and forgiveness you can grow. You may not be able to have the relationship that you want but you can have some type of relationship that may be greater than you expected. Humbling as it is you may determine that your parents aren't perfect and what the funny thing about that is... neither are you. And the discovery that your parents have problems and have issues can be the most shocking experience of all because it is then that you realize that they aren't the rock and stable soft place to land. Sometimes you become that for them. But if you do not and you decide to let the shortcomings of your parents anger you and blockade any relationship you have you will indefinitely demise. And only in the time of need you will remorse yourself into a relationship and regret all the time that you weren't there. That will be the biggest regret.

Until Next time

Dear Marilyn

Dear Marilyn,

What was your secret, how is it that you look absolutely flawless in even your flaw filled photos? Why is it that even today you are the icon of sexy? How is it that even you had insecurities. If you had left the earth at a later time would you be still the symbol of sex that you are today.

It is true what you said though, "if you can make a girl laugh you can do anything." If a girl is laughing she is listening, if she's listening you have her interest. A woman's interest keeps her driven keeps her motivated.

Media has made it so that the beautiful voluptuous curves of a woman are shunned and looked upon as a sign of a homely ugly woman. But have you ever had a thought if media wanted a d slowly made the change and put your quintessential big or plus sized model as the size of beauty how would that change the way we women looked at ourselves. Instead of Heidi Klum as the model of beauty put a more natural normal looking woman. Have you ever just looked into the mirror and pulled and tugged on different parts of your body? Just for a second trying to change what you have been given. I'm saying stop love the skin you are in!

I think Marilyn's trick was that she faked her confidence and it was the show she put on to the world while inside she was the same as any other woman. and that gave her that modesty and the mystery to us all is that she never really knew how beautiful she was.

love,

I cant make this stuff up.

So yeah it's been a few day's! So lets see, as I sit and drink my morning coffee i feel it necessary  to talk about some instances in my life that are funny now, not so funny when they occurred. First one is about a guy I dated. Things that happen in movies happen in real life too.....

So I dated this guy and it starts out fine. Normal begining phase of finding out about a new person. All that jazz. Well i get moved across the country and well there are certin warning signs I would like to explain that are red flags to behavior that is poor and unbecoming of a guy you should ever be with:
1. V necks
2. over 27 with posters (including but not limited to naked chicks on the walls no frame)
3. fake shrubbery
4. overly clean
5. stage five clinger = possessive
6. hair product (more then you have)
7. lies about being married still
8. moisturizers
9. makes you take your shoes off at the front door.
10. feminine smelling body soap.

This guy wasn't for me and prolly won't be for you either because:

This guy will not only fly to sleep with a close friend of yours but he will also randomly call you multiple times in the middle of the night tell you that he thinks hes gay and blame you for it.

Now, I have no problem with being gay, but when you blame someone else for it you are not being true to yourself and you are prolly just really confused.

I didint write this to embarrass this person really but I just think that the instance is funny and well its one of those i cant believe it moments. To be honest with you i think I knew he was keeping something from me the entire time we were dating. But thats my luck.

Another guy to watch out for girls:
1. Lives way to far away from you
2. You basically make all the effort to make time for him
3. you feel in your gut something is up
4. refuses to make a commitment
5. makes excuses for each time he said he was going to come visit or visa versa.
6. still hung up on his ex

This guy will:
1. be sleeping with his married ex gf (who has three kids)
2. Will bring back boxers from a visit "with his daughter" with a Please return to (ex gfs name on them) (shes married and has three kids)
3. will call you and vent about his ex and be all sad and cry.
4. This guy will eventually get over it and get married to some other girl

kinda funny.
for real.

Now I have more stories and warning signs but these are the past 3 years and i didnt want to write a novel.

Mainly just think those two stories are hilarious, and No i am not bitter. Actually I get a good laugh about it from time to time.

Now here's the core of what I am writing:

I really do believe it takes kissing a few frogs to find your prince. I have found my "prince among men". I have never been in love before like this. i have never been so happy I have found my true love. My braintwin. He has the heart I have been looking for and you know its love when you can spend all day just talking to this person in bed "nothing on but the radio". Feel completely comfortable. I could only hope that for every woman. He will leave you notes when you least expect it, you will always have fresh flowers, he will surprise you everyday. He even makes the bed. Not only will he do that but he is your soft place to land when you are having a hard go of it. He will also be your rock when you are losing control. And it does talk a lot to get to this point when you find that one. But when you do, you will never worry about what all the other women are wearing in the bar or restaurant, you will always feel beautiful even when you prolly shouldn't be in public, you will always feel like the only woman he sees and it will be just you and him and then the rest of the world. Have faith hold strong it will happen and you will have great stories like the ones aforementioned and You and this prince will laugh about it and it will become a thing of the past.

I have no recopies that I feel like writing today no DIY tricks, not much in the mood for that today... maybe later.

Until Next time...
